Hitting a pedestrian in Goraj

Police officers determine the exact circumstances of the hitting of a 54-year-old pedestrian, which took place yesterday evening (Wednesday, February 17) in Goraj. A woman with over 1.5 per mile of alcohol in her body was crossing the road in an unlit place, and there were no reflective elements. With injuries, she was transported to the hospital.

The accident happened yesterday around 6 p.m. on provincial road 835 in Goraj.

“The preliminary findings of the policemen performing activities at the scene of the accident show that a 54-year-old resident of the Goraj commune was hit by a Suzuki car driver,” reports the young asp. Joanna Klimek, press officer of the KPP in BiƂgoraj.

The place where the accident happened was unlit and the woman had no reflective elements. According to the police officers, the 54-year-old was in a state of intoxication. She had over 1.5 per mile of alcohol in her body. With injuries, she was transported to the hospital. Both the 40-year-old Suzuki driver and his 35-year-old passenger (residents of the Turobin commune) were not injured. The man was sober. Currently, the police are establishing the exact circumstances of the incident.

“We appeal for a reason on the road. Remember that one of the basic conditions for safety is visibility. That is why we urge pedestrians and cyclists to wear safety vests or other reflective elements. Such proceedings will certainly improve our road safety,” adds the spokesman Klimek.
