Two breathalyzers and 12 reflective vests were handed over to the Moniecka road team by the management of the Provincial Road Traffic Center in Białystok.

Providing additional equipment for police officers of poviat headquarters from the area of ​​WORD Białystok operations is one of the center’s activities to improve road safety.

“This is part of our mission, which we carry out according to our financial and organizational capabilities. This year it is particularly difficult because COVID blocks many of our activities related to the education of children and adolescents and improving the skills in the field of driving techniques among Podlasie drivers. Restrictions indirect contacts meant that at the moment we only have online training and the purchase of equipment for the police,” said Przemysław Sarosiek, the director of WORD Białystok. – We are glad that this time we were able to help the policemen from this part of our province.

During the summer holidays, WORD in Białystok, during hybrid meetings (for some participants, classes were held online, and for others, outdoors and in classrooms), trained 1,700 people as part of road safety classes for children and adolescents.

Later this year, further online training on road safety are planned, which will be addressed to primary and secondary school students.
