Good news for those who have not yet had their old bikes repaired, the aid of € 50 (excluding taxes) put in place at the end of the first confinement has again been extended until March 31, 2021. In the context of new deconfinement, the government still wishes to encourage the French to choose the bicycle for their trips.

 

It must be said that this subsidy (“bicycle boost”) has met with great success, with already more than 1 million bicycles repaired in the network of partner establishments thanks to the help of this support of 50 euros. In some cases, repairing an old bike also helps to overcome the shortage of new bikes that have been observed for months.

 

For what repairs?

The reduction applies to both the replacement of parts and the cost of labor. All repair and even self-repair operations in a referenced workshop are eligible as long as they allow your bike to run in complete safety: changing tires, repairing brakes, changing the chain or cable. derailleur … The package does not include safety accessories such as locks, reflective vest, or helmet. Regarding lighting, it is eligible only if it is integral with the bike, that is to say, that cannot be removed, such as a dynamo lamp for example.

 

50 € excluding taxes

You can only benefit from this reduction once per bike. Your identity as well as the identification of the bicycle (make, model, marking, serial number, and photo) will be verified. If the repair fee is less than € 50 excluding tax, you will only be charged the remaining VAT. If the repair package is greater than € 50 excluding tax, a reduction of € 50 will be applied to your invoice.
