Policemen from the Raciborz road traffic department, together with the parish priest of St. Nicholas in Raciborz and motorcyclists held a retro reflective action in the church yesterday. Activities were made under the slogans “Visible = Safe” and “We are the light of the world”. The goal of the undertaking is the improvement of the safety of the least-protected road users, i.e. pedestrians. After the roar, the uniform, together with the clergy and motorcyclists, was handed out to all children participating in the services of the reflective safety vests. In this way, law enforcement officers handed over several dozen of reflective vests, funded by clergymen and motorcyclists from the SRC Raciborz group. In addition, the uniformed in the church held a brief lecture on road safety.

Many road users are forgotten the obligation to wear reflectors outside the built-up area. For 3 years, the provision of the Road Traffic Act requires pedestrians to put reflections in a visible manner to drivers. Mentioned retro reflective clothing can be any objects attached to clothing, vests, armbands, stickers, lanyards, etc. It is important, however, to place them. It is best to place them at knee, hand and chest and back. Thanks to this protection, we will be sure they are visible to other traffic participants.

For the lack of reflection in the undeveloped area, there is even a 500-zloty mandate.

All activities aimed at improving the safety of unprotected road users are part of the Swain campaign entitled. “I’m safe.”
