Toffler invents reflective security snake

The inventor has developed a safety rope with reflective tape, which provides de-scooted roller balls for more protection. Safety has always been a priority at Christian Knapp. So it is not surprising that in his more than 25 professional years as a chef driver and privately, he always thought about the traffic flow and the resulting dangerous situations. With his more than two million service kilometers, he was mainly on motorways, and at some point it occurred to him that roadside vehicles, which were sometimes parked on the side strip, were not adequately secured. Well, there was a Warn-derrick at a certain distance from the vehicle, but is it enough? There are some examples of the dangers that may arise. Does the following traffic recognize the situation in time?

In 2008, Knapp came up with the idea. A safety rope, which is crosses the standing strip over three lengths and is thus to start the driver over when driving over. Knapp talked with his younger brother Stephan about this idea and came up with the diploma engineer immediately on enthusiasm. But the harsh working conditions in time made the idea disappear in the drawer of the thought-taker. Until 2011, Stephan reminded the little tinkerer of his plans. He designed a first prototype of the safety rope with the aid of a tensioning strap, a safety vest and worn deodorant roller balls. “You can definitely use it once,” thought the little jet engine for years, and now the day had come.

However, the first prototype of the safety rope, produced in his barn, was unable to withstand the weight of the vehicle during a load test; the bullets crushed inside and were thus unsuitable for this purpose. A pity thought the tinkers and sane for another solution. Golf balls were sewn by sister-in-law Carolyn, but also that did not work in the sense of the inventors. Now the final idea was missing, together they found the same.

The third prototype of the safety rope has not only surpassed many stress tests and tests under real conditions on various road surfaces, but has also proven its main function to achieve higher safety with autopens, but has now also found its way to the patent office. The fluorescent effects also contribute to increased attention even in the dark. The safety snake can be transported in an easily positional pocket or under the passenger’s floor mat so that it is possible to get out of the car in the event of a breakdown on the motorway and on the other side of the guardrail the rope to its location point can be achieved. There, at a distance of about 100 to 150 meters to the emergency vehicle, the rope is hooked to the guardrail with two hooks and ejected via the stand strip towards the roadway.

If, for any reason, a vehicle travels over this rope, twelve strikes are generated on the chassis, which directly point the driver to the situation. Even an overloaded driver in the night hours would notice these beats on the landing gear. The crossing of the snake does not cause any damage to the vehicles, as their position on the road does not change during crossing. Now the two inventors are still looking for partners for the production and distribution of their reflective material safety snake. In her opinion, she belongs in every car and gives the driver an unprecedented degree of security in the event of a breakdown.
