Reflective vest keep children safe on the way

By bringing the material offered by Community college students will see by day, thanks to the fluorescent color, and night, through the reflective tape.

Safety is a key issue that affects the many school children who use transportation or who come home on foot or by bicycle. Also, more than 700 pupils of 6th of Community will benefit from a material, in order to signal themselves. The minimum time required for a driver to react in the event of an obstacle is evaluated at one second. Meanwhile, the vehicle continues its route; it takes 26 m to stop at 50 km / h. A free distribution of the reflective vest will help to raise awareness and secure the safety of college students. The pupils of the college Romaine-Rolland were the first to receive it, Wednesday morning. In the class of Françoise, the mayor, Christine, the principal of the school, Jean-Paul, and Kevin Lebrun, responsible for school transport, handed to everyone the mitten that will contribute to their safety. Some, like Lenora, already know Melanie Heron who created the mitten; others have just heard of it. But they promised to take care of it; the mittens will be accessible in the pocket of their reflective jacket or in their satchel, and the precautions lavished by Kevin Lebrun will surely echo in their comrades. Between 700 and 800 children, Roan and Murk will see their mitten in the weeks to come.
