Bald is the high visibility vest compulsory

For whom the high visibility vests compulsory? From July 1, 2014 is considered a general safety vest for all cars, trucks and buses registered in Germany.

 

What is required?

In each of these vehicles a safety vest must be kept, regardless of the number of occupants. In Germany, although there is no obligation to wear, the ARCD recommends for all possible occupant (see number of seats) a reflective vest in the car to apply in an emergency even before disembarking. So increasing the own safety and is also prepared for all the rules abroad.

 

The safety vest must 20471 of EN 471 and EN ISO: 2013 match. Permits are reflective vests in yellow, orange and red-orange with two rotating, five-centimeter wide reflective strips. The ARCD also recommends to provide for children special vests in smaller sizes, because the normal, produced in unit sizes vests are the youngest often too large.

 

Where placing vests in the car?

The vest should be stowed in any case ready to hand in the car. At the bottom of the trunk brings the vest in an emergency little. As they fade due to sunlight, you should keep it in a dark place. The ARCD advises to apply the reflective overcoat at a breakdown or accident for their safety before getting out of the car.

 

What punishment threatens?

If we introduce in Germany no safety vest with and will be checked, a warning fee of 15 Euros is due.

 

What one must remember when traveling abroad?

Abroad, the different schemes, or compulsory wearing, safety vest for the driver or for all passengers apply. If we introduce for any occupant a reflective vest with and draw you in case of need even before alighting on, you are definitely on the safe side.
