“Just make sure” – this is the motto of the safety campaign for first-graders, which the ADAC Foundation is offering at the Grundschule this year.

 

It is about wearing a safety vest. The motor sport club (MSC) supports the action and has equipped the primary school students with vests.

 

The reflective vest gave children and parents additional security when, in the autumn, many first graders would have to master the way to school alone for the first time. “However, the safety vest with reflective materials must also be worn, because only then does it fulfill its purpose,” says Antonia, deputy chairwoman of the MSC, and appeals to the parents of primary school children, the children to wear the vest regularly.

 

But not only on the way to school should be the wearing of the safety vest become a matter of course. It should always be part of their free time as well. Experts assure that a safety vest with the reflective tape significantly contributes to better visibility and the first-graders are already seen from a distance of 140 meters in the dark. Elementary school students often cannot properly assess the danger on the road. The signal effect of the neon yellow safety vests for the ADAC Foundation would make children recognize from afar for motorists. Therefore it is even more important that children wear a safety vest. During the security campaign for first graders, the MSC distributed a total of 120 safety vests to the novice students.
