On the first holiday weekend, the police planned a major nationwide security action. In all regions, on Saturday and Sunday, drivers will check whether they are not using mobile phones while driving and they must keep a reflective vest in car. The event is being carried out in cooperation with Beside and the Czech Association of Insurers as part of the campaign.
During the first five months of this year, 24 people died due to inattention behind the wheel. Using mobile phones behind the wheel is one of the most common causes of road accidents.
