It’s a world first. The Oren County Council has been given new-generation clothing to improve the safety of the department’s agents who intervene especially on roads in often dangerous conditions. Created by the company Kip lay, this range of clothing (sewn-in reflective fabric)is the product of innovative techniques mobilizing high technology.

“Work to improve security”

On July 7, Marc Prada, CEO of Kip lay and Christophe de Galore, Chairman of the Oren County Council officially signed their partnership before the delivery of connected clothing. Christophe de Galore emphasized the innovative nature of this concept.

Reflective vests, jackets, and parkas. These personal protective equipment are equipped with LEDs that allow agents to be seen more than 300 meters away. Some are also equipped with heating strips and relocation chips to improve working conditions and prevent occupational hazards. Marc Prada wants to continue to develop these technology clothes.

Innovation is a marker of the Kip lay company. It was born in 1921 and developed in particular in the 1990s clothing with protection for the knees. Today, the structure works with Colas, Engine, Airbus or the city of Paris and stands out as a leader in the field of innovative safety clothing.

Field experimentation

Bruno Boney, an operations officer at the Flyers center, believes that this range of products can improve their daily life, especially “for working at night, in fog or when working on accidents”. The integrated heating system is also a welcome element for agents.

Dominique Cortes, director of the youth and heritage center, explains:

“It’s a developing garment. The goal is now life-size experimentation.
