Pedestrians can also prevent tragedies on the road

prevent tragedies on the road

Since February this year, all pedestrians are obliged to wear a reflective vest if they are moving under reduced visibility on the road outside the village. Not all of this rule is adhered to. “I saw a man who was not only on the right side of the road but could not see it at night when I was driving at the last minute,” complained the driver who had seen the pedestrian at the last minute, but only a few seconds missing from the tragedy.

In order to avoid these situations, the Police of the Czech Republic launched traffic safety actions, which are aimed specifically at the mentioned pedestrians. They also take place in Broun, the first of which took place at Debark. Police officers alert people to the obligation while giving them reflective tapes. “The obligation of reflective elements is outside the community. Wherever there is no public lighting. If a pedestrian is not visibly labeled as prescribed by law, we can impose a blocked fine of up to two thousand crowns on the spot, “said Marcela, a Broun police officer.

Preventive actions have a duty not only to remind people but also to warn them of the risks they are exposed to without visible signs. “If they are not equipped with the reflexive elements in places without lighting, they are in real danger of being involved in the accident,” Marcela stressed, stressing that these road traffic accident crashes ended tragically.

During the security action on the edge of Debark these words became more important. In the time before the reconstruction of the Debark, the pedestrian did not survive an accident. Since the extension of the road, it has not happened. One of those police officers approached during a begging security event was Milo. He also received reflective tapes from police officers. “I know the law and I use the elements,” says a man who admits he is riding in a car, according to him; pedestrians should be visibly marked in any case, even if they spend only exceptionally at night in unlit places.

Police officers not only distribute security features but also point to their appropriate location. “It’s good to wear both hands and legs. Many people wear them on their wrists, but they can hide the jacket, so it is good to put them over the reflective jacket or trousers, always on the side of the road, “says Marcela.
