One reflective vest in the car sometimes is not enough

Traffic accidents have greatly increased in recent days. Drivers have often been bad weather. But how do you behave when you leave a vehicle outside the village or in a crash? Fogs, fogs, icy – it would be possible to sum up the weather of the last days. Many drivers had tasted how they could do it. However, if you become a traffic accident or if a car breaks down on your road, you should adhere to certain rules, otherwise you are still subject to a fine!

One reflective vest sometimes is not enough

In the Czech Republic, the law requires a reflex vest in the car – for drivers. If the car breaks down or crashes, you need to get it out of the car, for other passengers it does not apply. But under the new rules, they too can not remain completely free of security.

When you step out of the car, you become a pedestrian for whom a new law applies. “The driver must wear a reflective jacket by law, but if the rest of the passengers were on the unlit street outside the village, they must be equipped with reflective elements,” says the supervisor driver of Hans. Infringements are subject to a fine of up to two thousand crowns.

In some cases, however, the rest of the crew must also have a reflective vest, when it comes to corporate vehicles and the transport of employees. “Any employee who would enter the road when repairing a vehicle must move around the car in a safety reflective vest,” Hans explains to the government’s decree under which the employer is required to provide a sufficient number of vests. “They can either be stored in the car, or they can be fastened by the employee before going into the car,” he adds.

Czech regulations do not specify where the reflective vest must be stored. Drivers can have it stored in the cab, but also in the trunk. However, be careful to do abroad. “In some of the surrounding states, the condition is that the reflective safety vest must be located within the driver’s reach, it is not specified,” adds Hans. Abroad, you must also observe compulsory equipment, which is often different from the Czech one.
