They distributed safety vests glints to children

Policemen in safety vest from the Lubing command visited the young participants in the semicircle as part of the prevention activities “I am over water safety”.

Lubitsch policemen, in pursuit of the preventive actions “I am over water safety”, are eager to meet children and young people. Last Thursday, police officers from the Police Prevention Team of the Police District Police Station met with children who spend their holidays on semi-colony organized by employees of the Academy of Creative Development in Lubing.

The theme of the meeting was home and outdoor safety. During the visit the policemen discussed the principles of safe rest, reminding especially of the rules of safe bathing and water play. Officials advised on how to safely navigate the roads. They also reminded children how important it is to use reflective elements and cross the road at a designated area. Together they were reminded of the basic safety rules that apply not only to pedestrians, but also to cyclist and passenger car.

Policemen tried to tell the children how to respond to emergency situations and to ask for help. They also talked about their work, so that the youngest knew that the role of a policeman was not only to stop perpetrators of crime, but also to help.

The children engaged in the discussion, shared their insights on the limited trust of newly-arrived individuals, and also encountered foreign quadrupeds. At the end of the meeting, each participant received a small commemorative souvenir from the police: pendants and reflective vests, which were funded by the KGHM SA Foundation.
