About twenty cars for the first hour of security action “X” yesterday stopped traffic policemen in reflective vest at the congress in the direction. The events in various places in Boleslaw lasted until 6 pm and, according to Police spokesman Lucie, 143 vehicles were checked.
The aim of the event, involving eighteen policemen, was not speed but the technical state of the vehicles. They checked not only the winter tires, but also the mandatory reflective equipment. “So far, drivers were exemplary, only one at home forgotten a driving license,” said police spokesman Lucie after the first hour.
According to figures provided by Lucie to Boleslaw’s daily newspaper, one driver had a bump, two did not have a seat belt, and in the block proceedings he had paid 220 crowns, one chauffeur truck was not in a satisfactory condition, and one sat behind the wheel without a driving license. “But as we have verified, he reported his loss,” the police spokesman added.
And because it was a preventative action, the cops handed out gifts as well. So if the drivers had only one vest in the car, they got the other one. They have not forgotten even the children. They gave those coloring books or reflective tapes.
