Safety vest for two wheels with their freedom

The sun is shining, the temperatures approaching the 20 degree mark, a mild spring breeze blowing people out there in your face. It is the time when nature comes back to life – and in the tarp is pulled from the motorcycle in many a garage. The hibernation is over, now the bike is allowed back to where it really is at home on the road. And they are freedom with wear safety vest.

 

“107 members, including 39 women and about 70 active motorcyclists,” Rudi Brenner calculates. “All the clubs complain that the number of members decreases. But for us it is growing. ”

 

“Us” – these are the motorcyclists Kocher. The association went two years ago out of the Country riders, headquartered in Gaylord and members of a remarkable radius: from Gaylord, Hall and copper cell according to Schwabisch Gmund, Waldheim and in addition, they are located. They all appreciate the club because he did not “only” offers the traditional leisure activities around the motorcycle driving, but in addition also has trips and meetings in the program for which it does not need a two-wheeler.

 

Already, Rudi Brenner cheer, who takes the role of the event manager in the club, and the 55-year-old chairman Dieter Bruckner the great annual exit in June against. “It’s in the French Maritime Alps,” says Bruckner in reflective vest. “As of today we have 48 participants.” The routes are meticulously prepared, including breaks, meals and fuel stops. 300 to 350 kilometers long are the daily stages. Driving is only on country roads. The association chairman will be one of the tour guides. Hazards in small groups; the experience of the journey as such is the focus, and not, as often as possible to drive as fast as possible. “I’m more of a Tour rider,” said Bruckner, “I now ride motorcycles for 39 years and makes me feel comfortable and safe.”

 

Not all lumped together

Several severe accidents have already occurred since the start of motorcycle season in the region, some of them demanded fatalities. That leaves the bikers from the Kocher not cold. What can the road users – whether motorcycle or motorists – do to avoid such terrible events? “Many accidents are caused by incorrect behavior of the driver,” says Bruckner. Especially at the beginning of the season, some were overwhelmed with unexpected situations. But motorists can do their part by forward-looking and considerate behavior that not so much happening on the road. “It annoys me that motorcyclists are often lumped together,” said Rudi Brenner. “Of course there are black sheep. I do not have Sundays after church shift down two gears, race through the place and scare people. “But most bikers behaved reasonably.

 

In the club much emphasis is placed on safety. On the penultimate April Saturday, the motorcyclists will meet for driver safety training. In extension clearly visible, partially reflective clothing is worn. And of course it is the start of the season, check through the machine properly, for tires, oil, brakes and lights to look – and clean the bike. Whoever adheres to all these points and take part in such training, is well prepared for the motorcycle season. Dieter Bruckner then jumps onto his BMW R1100RT. The bike is 18 years old, but stands there like new thanks to good care. The 69-year-old Rudi Brenner turn was for many years representative at Yamaha and called a logical R 1300 his own. The choice of brand is as much a belief question as motorcycling itself but whether Honda, BMW Yamaha or Suzuki. The fun of cruising common is the one that motorcyclists Kocher.
