Yellow safety vest and reflector tapes bring cyclists namely attention, but also ridicule – and are so popular not all cyclists. Thus they are not overlooked in the dark anyway, Volvo wants to paint now.

 

For brand essence of Volvo heard concerns about security. And this obviously extends far beyond the actual customers, the motorists, addition – to cyclists. Because in accidents with cars usually lose out and be overlooked especially at night slightly, the Swedish manufacturer spray has developed, which is to make the invisible visible.

However, the spray is not an original Volvo invention, but is realized in cooperation with the Swedish supplier Track Invent who sold similar reflective sprays branded Albedo100.

 

So far there is Life Paint only in the UK, where the spray Volvo is currently testing. There are over 19,000 cyclists are involved in traffic accidents, according to Volvo every year. In Germany, the figures are even higher: The Federal Bureau of Statistics According to 2013 (more recent figures are not yet there) are alone 71 420 people crashed by bike.

 

The reflective material spray is part of an ambitious goal that the Swedish manufacturer has set: 2020 no man should be killed by a new Volvo. Life Paint could play its part when many cyclists use it.
