Reflective safety vest use has stagnated in Asker and Bærum. It wants Hovik firm House of Control to do something.

– We have 15,000 reflectors located here, and want to contribute in order to prevent accidents. We are a socially committed company and the mood to do anything was great internally, says CEO Lasse Sten.

Asker and road safety association checked for over a week since the use of reflex. 1541 pedestrians were counted, and only 29 percent of them lit up in the dark.

– That means that 71 percent go without. No plan to be run down, but considering how many drop-reflex, so it is strange that not more is hit, continues Sten.

– A nightmare

– It is the nightmare of any driver, says Sten, and continues:

– Cheap life insurance

Road Safety has estimated that reflector use reduces the risk of being hit in the dark with 85 percent. Now they want Hovik firm to help more reduces the risk of being hit.

– It’s a cheap life insurance. All agree that it is common sense to use reflectors. One need not be a rocket scientist to understand that it is intelligent.

– What is the reason you’re sitting on 15,000 reflexes?

– We tend to order large when we first book. These are reflections we thought having two to three years ahead. But then we read the matter of reflex use in Budstikka and asked ourselves why we should let those remain.

Can help with delivery

The boxes with reflective tape will now be put forward at the reception Hovik firm on Ramstadsletta so that that in need can obtain reflective tape or send an email

– I would assume that there are schools, kindergartens and others who want this, says Sten, who also says that the firm can help with delivery of larger volume.

– We can gladly assist with delivering, but the simplest one is just bring here with us.
