Followed a disputed and little law yet
The measure supported by the government and which sparked heated debates and anger many bikers before its adoption, aims to improve the visibility of two wheelers when they are walking, and thus increase security. There is an exception, “if we’re off the bike, on an emergency lane, it must be worn, otherwise it’s 135 euro fine.” The law also provides for a fine of 11 euros for non-presentation of the vest during a police check or gendarmerie.
The well into their sixties and more than 40 years on two wheels, Olivier, a recalcitrant, knows what it may.. “I have no yellow vest or reflective tape on me, not I sit a bit on C is not useless, but motorists must pay attention to us. Improving visibility in case of emergency stop, it is the objective of the law.
