Safety equipments that you must have in your car

Every driver should remember that when getting behind the wheel you must bring not only your driving license, registration card and insurance. Equally important and able to save human life equipment are first aid kit, warning triangle, reflective vest, and a fire extinguisher. There may be up to 500 zlotys for their lack. We will advise you which set to choose, that you would never have an unpleasant surprise during police control.

The upcoming Christmas is the perfect opportunity to make a small review in your car. What should you pay the most attention to? Above all, it is worth taking a close look at the expiration date shown on the extinguisher. Usually this part of the equipment is at the bottom of the trunk and we rarely pay attention to it. Very often, a thorough police check can detect that the fire extinguisher is on the equipment, but its validity has long passed. Such a discovery can cost from 20 to even 500 PLN. The lack of an efficient fire extinguisher can also result in a negative result during the technical inspection.

Another necessary thing in the car is the warning triangle. As in the case of a fire extinguisher, the police in safety vest may issue a fine from 20 to even 500 zlotys for its lack. On the other hand, failure to show it after a car breakdown is punishable by 150 PLN. However, it is not about the money itself. The triangle can save lives for you, your passengers, and other road users. You can buy it in a set with other gadgets for very little money.

Many drivers believe that they have a responsibility to carry a first aid kit in the car. This is a mistaken belief, because Polish law in this case does not require this piece of equipment. However, having a first-aid kit on hand can save your life, your passengers, or third parties. It is worth being prepared for the worst. A properly equipped first aid kit should contain, among others thermal blanket, headscarf, swabs, dressings, elastic bands, scissors, and instructions for first aid.

Do not forget from reflections. All reflective items of clothing, such as reflective bands and vests, can save your life. This is not the only thing that we should carry on a daily basis in the car. Equally important, as the above equipment, are good tools. A set of keys, towrope, gloves, cables to the battery or just a set of spare bulbs can save a lot of trouble. Remember this.
