You thought definitively buried since last year? Lost! More tenacious than a series of zombie Z, the fluorescent jacket apparently remains a vital subject for some. The proof with this survey RMC and BFM TV in yesterday. Do not smother reading his statement, almost mendacious given by a well-timely omission.
It is Mandatory for all fluorescent jackets from RMC and BFM TV.
“The yellow vest is mandatory for motorists, not for bikers, contrary to what our German neighbors, Belgian or Italian Yellow vests for bikers, good or bad for France?”
Play on words, this survey clearly suggests that we must make wearing the mandatory yellow vest for French bikers, what some dream since 2011 While motorists should only (thankfully) able to wear it in case of trouble immobilizing the vehicle.
Citing Belgium or Germany, amalgam is much easier to do that on our roads, it is not unusual to see these countries biker wearing fluorescent equipment (helmet or jacket). But they do so only by choice, German and Italian legislation requiring the transportation of the jacket with reflective tapes under the seat to be able to have in case of failure, not a permanent port.
A proposal also made last year by the NSRF with threat of a fine of € 35 for non-port after the tragicomic saga armbands and 150 cm² retro-reflective which were to be imposed – day – scooter riders and bikers.
It will be recalled that wearing retro-reflective vest is mandatory for cyclists riding at night outside an urban area, lighthouses and lights available on a bicycle being inefficient to be as visible as are these items on a car or motorcycle.
On the other side of the Channel, the jackets also serve to all kinds of things.
